Contributions to the foundation today are through research collaborations and institutional partnerships. Other ways to support the work — including funded membership — will open after the founding membership is elected.

Research
Collaborate on papers, evaluations, specifications, and reference implementations. We host joint projects, short residencies, and open calls with researchers in academia, industry, and civil society.

Partnerships
Institutional partnerships with universities, labs, standards bodies, and public-sector organizations — to co-develop research agendas, working groups, and standards contributions.
Terms
Research collaborations are conducted under open licenses, with outputs governed by the foundation’s release-review process. Partnerships are accepted on a no-strings basis — partners do not direct research outcomes, publications, or standards positions.
Material conflicts of interest are disclosed and managed under the foundation’s governance principles.
